Amboseli Elephant Experience

Amboseli National Park offers what many consider the most cinematic wildlife experience in Africa. Set at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the park hosts some of the continent's largest and most studied elephant populations — herds of fifty or more that move freely between the permanent swamps fed by Kilimanjaro's underground snowmelt. The combination of these gentle giants in the foreground and Africa's highest peak rising snow-capped behind them is the quintessential African image. Lions, cheetah, zebra, and over 600 bird species complete an ecosystem that is as photogenic as it is biologically rich.
